HOMEWORK HELP AVAILABLE 24 HOURS A DAY FOR GRADES 7-10 MATH
Parents: could your children or teens use some extra help with their math homework? Grades 7 to 10 students in the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board now have access to free, on-line math homework resources seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Thanks to the Ministry of Educations Homework Help on-line program, the students also can interact with a live tutor, one-on-one, every Sunday to Thursday, from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
The Homework Help site is a wonderful support for Grades 7-10 students and their parents and guardians, explains Shelly Roy, Superintendent, Student Achievement. It includesinvaluable, free, real-time math tutoring, five evenings a week. The students can enter a live chat room, choose a tutor who is a certified teacher, and have their mathematical questions answered, if they log on between 5:30-9:30 p.m., Sunday to Thursday.
In addition to this live help, the site also offers homework help which students can access at all times, she adds. It includes recordings of tutoring sessions, answers to frequently asked questions, helpful math tips, and other resources.
The KPR Board has sent information home with all Grades 7-10 students, and posted details on its home page at www.kprschools.ca. Parents and students are encouraged to visit the KPR website to learn how they can sign on to Homework Help.
Students should not be dropped off in the morning at Murray until 9:05 am. There is no supervision until then. Please let your child ride the bus, or drop them off at 9:05 am or later.
Please see below video on our Grade 3 class about bullying.
